Once you have a blog, you need to become the voice of authority. One way to do this is by writing trustworthy instructions so blog readers can perform a skill or process. You will select a blog-related subject that you can write and post the instructions for your readers. Use the planner to create your post. This should include the following items:
- An introduction section
- A list of needed materials
- A step-by-step process for performing the task, with no missing/out of order info
- A warning/caution section
- A conclusion
To write a book, you need to have a plot. There should be some sort of purpose going on in the book or a lesson to be learned. You should start by coming up with the morale or goal of the story first. And then you come up with the five hallmarks of writing a story. Exposition or beginning comes first which should start out in a way that pulls the reader in, and gets them to want to find out the rest. And its also where you introduce the characters in some way, whether right away, or slowly one by one. 2nd comes rising action. The events that lead up to the the main conflict. The main conflict is also known as the climax or highest point in the story, or in some adventure stories: the big battle near the end. And then you have falling action which is action wrapping up the conflict or the aftermath in some terms. And the last part comes the resolution or conclusion or ending. Where the morale has been learned or the characters purpose has been for-filled. That's what I've seen or believe. The stories i come up with usually consist of almost always the same thing: A young heroine in her mid-teens trying to reach a big goal or deal with something she just learned she is, all while dealing the antics of her current lifestyle and trying to understand an attractive, good-hearted boy who's so in love with her, he can't really manage the idea of leaving her alone. In the story i'm trying to write myself does have a bit of that. The story's called Lockin shelter and its about a young female about 15/16 years of age waking up in a battle-scared town which a nearby homeless shelter takes her in and then she's introduced to a bunch of the main characters including two interesting boys that make her heart jump a little, but still have their crazy quirks that she finds a little hard to cope with. All while trying to find a way to end the war going on in their home country and why was war declared in the first place. I sometimes think i should have named the book: Alls weird in love and war, because its somewhat goofy and a little romantic at the same time. And there's monsters in it. I don't mean tank monsters, i mean creature kind of monsters. Do watch you can to make up a good plot and maybe make it quirky now and then to make it interesting or make it intense in a more serious seeming one.
ReplyDeleteYou need to organize your blog a little more. I would make sure to have 4 different paragraphs like the baseball glove. The baseball glove is a good example to follow. I would put the steps 1-10 in there own area and make sure to number them. Your blog sounds good but you also might want to edit I see a few errors.
DeleteYou have great detail. But I think you should organize your giant text into smaller parts. And make sure you number your steps 1-10. Other than that it looks good!I also like how you express yourself in this post
DeleteYou do a great job expressing yourself and your voice through out this. But, I do have to agree with everyone else that the big paragraph is kinda hard to see and your steps get lost in it. To make it more organized and easy on the eyes I would break them up into steps and label them. Don't forget to add an intro and conclusion as well.
DeleteToday I will be teaching you how to stop Donald Trump from being elected for president. The steps are the easy part. The more complicated part is the requirements you need to vote. Those include:
ReplyDeleteBeing over the age of 18
Be a citizen of the United States of America
Have no criminal felonies
Be a resident from the state you are voting in
Have a legitament government ID to proove who you are(Drivers licence, passport, etc)
As you can see there are many things you need to be able to vote. If you have all of the things listed above then you can vote for someone else other than Trump. But before you vote for someone else make sure you research all the candidates so you know who you would support the most. All you need is to take the ID and go to a voting booth and vote. There should not be any danger during this process. Just make sure you are safe when you go to the location of the voting booth.
I hope you learned what you need in order to be able to vote so that your voice can be heard.
I think you need to be more descriptive and detailed. You don't have enough in each paragraph. Also you need to make sure you number your steps 1-10. Make sure you have verbs at the beginning of each step. Your paragraph after the steps in written well.
DeleteI like the idea of this post. I think your instructions are very detailed, but I think its missing just a few steps. The going to vote steps seem a little vague and I feel could be more detailed. Other than that I would just number your steps and you're good
DeleteLearning how to snowboard is hard enough so being able to put on your snowboard is the first step in the right direction for learning the basics. I am writing this for the beginners mostly teenagers that are starting out and want to know how to put on a snowboard. You don’t need any educational background to be able to put on a snowboard.
ReplyDeleteTo be able to put on a snowboard, you will need a few items:
*Snowboarding boots
*Snowboard with bindings
1.Make sure you have your snowboarding boots on the correct feet and tied.
2.Make sure that the binding straps are out of the way when you put your foot in.
3.Put your dominate foot in the front binding on the board.
4.Take both hands and grab the buckle and the strap and put the strap inside the buckle.
5.Do it for all the straps on your foot
6.Make sure your foot is secure if not take the buckle and tighten by lifting up and down on the buckle.
7.Once your front foot is strapped in put your back foot in the binding and repeat steps 4-6.
8.Both your feet should be secure and strapped in you're ready to snowboard.
You might get cold and fall a lot when you're beginning so it is a good idea to have snow pants, jacket, and gloves on. You can put your snowboard on standing up or sitting down it does not make a difference. You will need to be at a ski/ snowboard hill when putting on your snowboard.
The end result should be that you have both feet secured on your snowboard. The more times you practice the better you will get. The first time might be a little tricky and you might have a few difficulties. Now you can go to the hill and begin practicing your snowboarding skills. Keep practicing and you will be a pro in no time.
I think your post is very discriptive. But what are some warning/cautions I should be aware of? Is it just falling down? What if I sprain my ankle in the process? You should be tell us what could go wrong. Other wise great intro and conclusion
DeleteI agree with Jose that it is very descriptive and informational. But I do think you are missing some materials for example is a helmet needed for this task?
DeleteAlso, Is it easier to practice this on snow or practice before hand where there is no snow. I think this is something you should have added
A complement jar is one of the easiest yet most thoughtful gifts you can make.If you're looking for a simple yet thoughtful gift, this is the one. This is an easy gift that is great for teachers, a boyfriend or girlfriend, a friend, or even a grandparent.
ReplyDeleteIn order to make this craft, you will need the following items:
*Mason jar
*Sharpie/ any type of markers
*Construction paper (can be different colors)
*Scissors
*Ruler
1.Take out your materials (Mason jar, Sharpie/ any type of markers, Construction paper, Scissors, Ruler).
2.Take your construction paper (1 piece, any color) and your scissors and begin cutting 1 inch strips. You may want to use your ruler for this.
3.Continue to cut until you have used up the full sheet of paper.
4.Next, cut the 1 inch strips in half.
5.Use your sharpie/ markers to write a compliment on each strip of paper.
6.Fold the strips on half
7.Open your mason jar and place the folded strips inside of it.
8.Continue steps 2-7 until you have filled up the mason jar completely.
9.Put the lid on the jar and close it tight.
10.Give to desired person.
Because this process can be messy, make sure you have a lot of space to spread out your strips of paper. Also, be aware the scissors are sharp, be careful not to cut yourself or others when using them.
The end result should be a colorful jar full of great compliments. This gift is simple yet thoughtful and is great for just about anyone. Rap it up and hand it to that special someone.
I like your materials list. But maybe add more so you can make the jar even more colorful or maybe so it can have more variety. You did a great job adding action verbs in your steps. Even though there is a lot of actual text it is still very easy on the eye and I do not feel over whelmed when I read it.
DeleteYour blog is very well written and organized. It is really easy to follow and looks pleasing to the eye. You might need to write a little more in your conclusion and make sure you wrap up everything. I really like that your steps are short and clear and you used good verbs in your steps.
